Emulator ScummVM

ScummVM jest emulatorem pozwalającym uruchomić klasyczne gry przygodowe w przypadku, kiedy posiadamy ich pliki z danymi. ScummVM posiada wbudowane własne pliki wykonywalne do gier, co sprawia, że można je uruchomić także na platformach, do których gra nie była dostosowana!

Na czym to dokładnie polega?
Mieliśmy kiedyś Amigę ze stacją CD-Rom i do niej kilka gier na CD - np. Monkey Island 2. Amigę sprzedaliśmy ale została nam gra na CD w wersji na Amigę właśnie. Teraz mamy komputer PC lub Apple z zainstalowanym dowolnym systemem, np. Windows, Linux, iOS.
Kopiujemy sobie pliki z naszego amigowskiego CD na dysk twardy. Uruchamiamy ScummVM, wybieramy "dodaj grę" i wskazujemy mu folder ze skopiowanymi z CD plikami. ScummVM rozpoznaje grę - Monkey Island Amiga version. Wciskamy "Start" i gramy sobie w naszą amigowską grę na dowolnym systemie używając emulatora.

ScummVM pozwala uruchomić między innymi przygodówki firm: Activision Adventure, LucasArts, Adventuresoft/Horrorsoft, Coktel Vision, Revolution Software, Sierra, Humongous Entertainment, Animation Magic, Living Books.

Emulator działa pod systemami: Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, Dreamcast, PocketPC, PalmOS, AmigaOS, BeOS, OS/2, PSP, PS2, SymbianOS/EPOC oraz innymi...
